It looks like a normal mirror but when the display is switched on, high quality video pictures are visible through a special mirror material which allows near total transmission of the polarized light output of the LCD screen.

Smart panels were originally introduced by Samsung where the A/D driver board was integrated within the frame of the TFT panel.

Harper Kendal now has a range of TFT panels based on the same concept:

15” - based on the LTA150XH

17” - based on the LTM170E03

19” - based on the LTM190E08

TFT-LCD A/D boards

A range of TFT driver boards covering the most commonly used TFT-LCD’s:  

LG Display, Samsung, AUO, BOE Hydis, ChiMei, Mitsubishi.

Resolutions covered are VGA through to WUXGA.
